Ryan Johnson, Founder
Ryan Johnson has been working in the construction industry for 15 years, and started Nordic Construction 5 years ago.
He graduated from Augsburg College with a degree in economics and had plans to be a financial planner. After an internship, he moved in another direction and worked in sales in the security and construction industries.
After seeing the way some construction companies look at smaller homes and think they aren’t worth their time, he decided to do something different, and started Nordic Construction, where no project is too big or too small. Licensed in Minnesota as a building contractor, Ryan can pull any of the permits needed for your project, and can help with jobs large and small.
Ryan understands the meaning of a budget and respects it, offering a good product at a good price, and truly enjoys helping people.
When he isn’t helping clients, Ryan enjoys being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and playing with his Goldendoodle puppy, Murphy.

Flat Roofing
"I had Ryan, from Nordic construction out to look at a complicated situation with our flat roof on our 1920’s home. It was not level, and in one spot, was actually channeling water back towards the house, and had developed leaks in 2 spots. Ryan solved the problem by re-pitching the flat roof, giving it a slight angle away from the house. He and his co-worker showed up when promised, worked without causing any damage to the landscaping below, and cleaned up daily. His bill matched his bid, and the job was done on time. He has great knowledge and respect for the older homes found in the City. I highly recommend him and his crew!”
